どんな研究をされていますか？

Language Education: My major area of study is the use of extensive reading to develop student language skills through the Start with Simple Stories (SSS) method.

大学生活でどんなことを学んで欲しいですか？
そのためにどんな取り組みや工夫をされていますか？

I encourage students to read easy English reading books (Graded readers). The SSS method presents the goal of reading 1 million words of English. Students should only read easy and interesting books. No book is too easy. If the book is “too” easy, I ask the students to read the book quickly.

最後にメッセージをお願いします

Students should try to read for 10 – 15 minutes two or three times a day. A few of my students have increased their TOEIC scores by 100 points by reading just 10 minutes a day over a three month period.
